The boat hook is used in working situations in harbours and onboard ships and is not intended to be used as a rescue hook. The boathook has a double hook instead of a triple one (as the red rescue hook has) and is a heavy duty, 5 meters long tool. It is made of a powder coated aluminium pipe with a stainless steel hook and tip.
Shore Safetys lifesaving equipment meet the requirements of the Swedish Civil Protection and Emergency Agency (MSB).

This is what the law says
There are no laws nor regulations that says how a boat hook should be designed.

Long range
The length of 5 meters enables you to reach far and deep. It also comes in 2 and 3 meters length for leisure boats.
Handling
The lightness of the hook makes it easy to handle.
