Product information
Our fire extinguisher post is especially developed for quays and bridges where it’s required to have a fire extinguisher. It consists of a pole (3 meters), fittings, fire extinguisher cabinet, rescue hook with flag, a life buoy and a reflective position sign.
The fire extinguisher itself (6-9 or 9-12 kg) is not included in the set.
If there is no rescue ladder on the quay/bridge, one should add one. Then choose Rescue Post 1500 or 1600/1610 and add a fire extinguisher cabinet.
Shore Safetys lifesaving equipment meet the requirements of the Swedish Civil Protection and Emergency Agency (MSB).
This is what the law says
“Where there is a need for life saving equipment, there should be lifebuoys available. Fixed ladders or stairs should be available if it is difficult to come out of the water in another way. At high quays, where it is difficult to reach a distressed from land or where there is deep water directly at land or dock, there should also be rescue hooks and rescue ladders available.”

Placing
Position the post perpendicular to the waterline to make it visible also from a great distance.
The hook is placed on one side of the post, and the life buoy and the fire extinguisher cabinet on the other. The post is fastened in a quay fitting or a concrete foundation.
