”Rescue raft or -boat should be available in public places with severe risks. A boat or raft that’s especially intended and designed for life saving. The raft should be easy to handle without prior knowledge. It should be unlocked and placed so it can be used quickly and easily.”
“Places next to land is regarded as particularly risky and in need of a rescue raft if it can be assumed that a person in distress can’t be reached from land with a lifebuoy, e.g. due to strong currents.”
“Where there is a need for life saving equipment, there should be lifebuoys available. Fixed ladders or stairs should be available if it is difficult to come out of the water in another way. At high quays, where it is difficult to reach a distressed from land or where there is deep water directly at land or dock, there should also be rescue hooks and rescue ladders available.”

Position the station perpendicular to the waterline to make it visible also from a great distance.
The rescue raft is placed on one side of the station, and the ladder, hook and life buoy on the opposite side. This makes the equipment easily accessible.
The station is easily mounted to concrete or wooden quays with Shore Safety’s fittings. The rescue raft is then placed on the included consoles and is secured with two wires and a padlock harness.
